We worked on our February Report on Friday night! Here it is!
Tell about one person who has been impacted as a result of your 1K Initiative:
Well, we're not very far into this yet, so we don't have any big stories just yet (we hope you ask us again in a couple of months and we hope we have more stuff to tell you about). We think we have all been impacted by this challenge, just in that we're learning a lot about what it means to lead a ministry.
There's a little girl named Kaleigh who came the first day who was really excited to be there. She loved her new Bible and kept picking it up and hugging it. She was really excited about doing the craft project, making the snack and playing the games. Her mom emailed Becky the next week to tell her how excited Kaleigh had been about the day and was excited to go back.
What has been most rewarding so far:
Having kids who want to come back!
Tips for other students who want to serve after their mission trip is over:
1. Plan early
2. Keep focused
3. Don't stop or give up
4. Don't get discouraged if things don't go exactly as you planned
5. Don't think there's something you can't do
6. Don't ever think you're too small.
7. Pray! A lot!
Prayer Requests:
We had a really small turnout on our first day. We're okay with that, but we would like to double our numbers for day two (we had 3, we're praying for 6)
We pray for Italia, MacKenzie and Kaleigh
We pray for their parents and families
We pray for the other groups doing 1K initiatives
We pray for our friends who are hurting.
